Bal Gopal Dham
On 6 January 2012, Bhai Kanahaiya Manav Seva Trust established a shelter home
called Bhai Kanahaiya Ashram to provide support and protection for mentally
challenged women (who were abandoned by their families). From 2013, the
number of women gradually increased from 60 to 65, some of them came with
their children, and two women whose children were mentally retarded were also
brought along. And 3 to 4 women were pregnant in all of them. As a result, the
total number of children in our ashram was increased from 9 to 10. Due to safety
reasons, it is not possible to keep children and retarded women together in one.
Then the trust was prepared a separate ward named Bal Gopal Dham for children’s
only. Those women who were under our care and medical treatment are not
allowed to go to the children's ward.
In 2015, the Government of India has introduces a new law J. J. Act for the safety and security of children. Then the trust registered its Bal Gopal Dham according to the act. After some time the total number of children’s was increased, due to lack of space for children’s, then the trust built a new and more significant ward in Vill. Moriwala Ashram with the help of donors. And we are providing various services including nutritious food, water, study and treatment. Today, there is 50 c hildren’s living in our Bal Gopal Dham and they are being taken care by trained personnel.
