Now the trust was looking for a chunk of suitable land and it was a big project, due to poor financial conditions the trust could not find an answer to this problem. Meantime Bhai Gurshran Kalra, who was inspired by the trust's service & associated with the trust & also a monthly donor has came forward and donate his Land of 200 yards behind the Women Polytechnic College Sirsa. Then the trust purchased another chunk of land 400 yards along with the same land. Then the historical day came in the history of trust when Dr. Bibi Inder Jeet Kaur Chairperson of an NGO "All India Pingalwara Amritsar" came to the trust's invitation to lay the foundation stone of the Bhai Kanahaiya Ashram on 8 March 2011.
After completion of construction work within six months, the first woman named Meena was adopted by Ashram. Thus the ashram became a home for destitute, mentally retarded, homeless & wanderer women and orphan children’s.
The trust provides them food, shelter, clothing, and proper treatment with medicine. To
take care of these women, the trust has appointed a nurse for medical help and treatment,
and three wardens for proper care like: bathing, combing, and dressing. A vocational
training centre is also running a rehabilitation program for these women. A multipurpose
hall with a music system for entertainment is also provided by the trust.
