On January 6, 2012, the Bhai Kanahaiya Manav Seva Trust established the Bhai Kanahaiya Ashram, a shelter home dedicated to offering support and protection for mentally challenged women who had been abandoned by their families. Over time, from 2013 onwards, the number of women under the care of the Ashram gradually increased, growing from 60 to 65. Some of these women arrived with their children, and two women who had mentally challenged children in their care were also admitted. Furthermore, there were 3 to 4 pregnant women among them, which led to an increase in the total number of children in our Ashram from 9 to 10. However, for safety reasons, it became apparent that keeping children and mentally challenged women together was not feasible.
Consequently, the trust established a separate ward known as “Bal Gopal Dham” exclusively for children. Women who were receiving our care and medical treatment were not permitted to enter the children’s ward. In 2015, the Government of India has introduces a new law J. J. Act ( Regsitration no. : 091/ICPS/JJACT/2017 ) for the safety and security of children. Then the trust registered its Bal Gopal Dham according to the act. After some time the total number of children’s was increased, due to lack of space for children’s, then the trust built a new and more significant ward in Vill.Moriwala Ashram with the help of donors. And we are providing various services including nutritious food, water, study and treatment. Today, there is 42 children’s (Male 16, Female 26) living in our Bal Gopal Dham and they are being taken care by trained personnel and all Staff Police verification done.
